Abstract:
Our University is committed to training their students on state-of-the-art specific knowledge, as well as transversal competences which are highly valued within the work environment, and have been aligned with the Dublin descriptors.

We have considerable experience in this matter, as it has been proven by the work that has been carried out since 2003 within the framework of our Strategic Teaching Plan.

During this time, competence-based assessment has been in constant evolution through the internal work at the University, involving our teaching staff, administrative and services staff, students and professionals. Moreover, external factors such as teaching quality assurance have also influenced this changing process.

At present, competence-based assessment is part of the Master Plan, which illustrates that competence training is a strategic line at our University.

In this presentation, we will illustrate how we deal with competence-based assessment at the university level and we will also showcase how this work has been achieved regarding one of our transversal competences: To communicate information in a clear and precise manner to diverse audiences.
