Abstract:

At TUBB (Technological University of Bahia de Banderas), in early January 2013, concerns arose among teachers and 5th semester Information and Communications Technology (ICT) program students to concentrate in one location all the resources and support tools such as software, articles, tutorials, books, videos, etc., which are used in the subjects of the educational program, because until that time, those resources were disorganized and spread, making them difficult to find easily.

Therefore, it was proposed to create the CWDRL (Comprehensive Website of Digital Resources for Learning), which aims to display in a structured way on a website all the resources and didactic material used by teachers and students in classes, in order to facilitate availability and access.

Also, another reason to develop this site, is that it can serve in the future as a complement to the project "SEL (Sistema de Educación en Línea)", aimed, at first, to offer online courses to TUBB bachelor degree students. The SEL project is currently being developed by the ICT program professors, members of the "Tecnologías de la Información para el desarrollo tecnológico de la región de Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit" faculty, recognized under the registration PROMEP UTBB-CA-1.

Before starting to develop the CWDRL, a survey was conducted to the ICT program students, to know their ideas and concerns about how it should be and what should be on the site. Survey results show that the students are very motivated since they raised interesting proposals, such as the inclusion of content developed for the site by themselves.

Finally, it was determined that the site should include the following sections:

- Video Tutorials
- Articles
- eBooks
- Forum (open to registered members)
- The best examples of student´s assignments
- Job vacancies
- News
- User registration
- Downloadable information links

To develop the project, students were organized into departments according to their knowledge and skills. These departments are:

- Research and content development
- Design
- Production
- Editing and Post-Production
- Web programming
- Databases
- Documentation

On March 2013, a prototype of the site was completed, which is still being improved and can temporarily be seen at the address http://risinghell.net/guordpres/. It is noteworthy that a special feature of the site is that some of the content, such as videos and articles, have been developed by the students according to the learning needs of ICT program students, making it an effective and relevant tool.

As future work, there is the idea that the project will be continued by the new generations in order to enrich it and keep it updated. It was also considered that students from other technological universities of the country can collaborate on the project once it has matured.
