Abstract:
Postgraduate medical training, teaching/learning in hospital context and learning opportunities in hospital services are described in this work. Postgraduate medical training is a coherent collection of actions with a view to confer on residents a legal capacity to exercise of medical activity. It is realised in a context leading up to learning. According to Donald Kirkpatrick act of trainees being learned very much with training does not signify they have utilised what they learned in performance of their functions. So, one of principal objectives of training programme is to help residents on development of aptitude to transfer of competences. Learning contexts that accentuate importance of transfer of competences are absolutely necessary. A reflection about different contexts and opportunities during periods of training is made.
Thirty items of a questionnaire to residents, thirty two items of a questionnaire to their trainers and five items of interviews with the medical services’ directors were utilised in this research work. Alpha of Cronback coefficients and factorial analysis were made. A reflection about frequencies results was made.
It was concluded that involved hospital services are suitably qualified according to standards of Order of Physicians. They have meeting hall and reference library, records and documents, work rooms, and appropriate rooms for medical acts, internment and external consultation. Their assisting activity and technical acts are accordingly to respective college both quantitative and qualitatively and according to necessary differentiation; everyone has equipment, minimal requirements and guarantees of quality. Residents present a great ability for learning and knowledge transfer. Physicians have lots of motivation and know curricula of their specialities perfectly. They agree with spheres of internships but find them insufficient quantitatively. They think that fulfilment of programme and developed projects are good. Periodicity of revision cases, clinical reunions and Journal Club is weekly and periodicity of general doctor’s visit is bi-weekly. Every service is involved in research projects and presents monthly regularity in events of scientific character.
