Abstract:
Relevance:
Force majeure due to COVID19 has led to the mass use of distance technologies in education, changes in traditional teacher-student interactions, problems with the content of the educational process, the schedule of online classes and deadlines for submission of intermediate assignments. Project management (PM) tools such as a Gantt chart and network diagrams allow us to structure, map out, organize, and control the content and schedule. Theoretical substantiation and practical application of PM tools in the organization of the educational process is relevant.
The objective of the study is to present possibilities of using PM tools to display the content and schedule in the organization of language training for students of the technological university. The object of the study is the organization of the language training of students during the forced use of distance learning due to the spread of COVID19. The subject of the study is the use of PM tools to regulate the educational process.
Materials:
Scientific papers on the use of the PM methodology in education and on the introduction of PM tools in the management of the educational process.
Research methods:
Analysis, comparison, generalization of results and experience, analogy and identification of contradictions; students` survey on the problems of organizing forced distance learning; educational process modeling by using PM tools.
Conclusions:
According to the results of the survey, it has been found, that the forced use of distance learning due to COVID19 pandemic has led to changes and uncertainty in the organization of the educational process. The use of PM tools to improve the efficiency of language training organization has been proposed. A model of a Gantt chart that shows the chain of activities, current module and semester control has been developed. A network diagram that demonstrates the possibilities of schedule compression by using the critical path method for student`s accelerated mastering of a discipline in force majeure conditions has been developed.
The scientific novelty of the study is the method of representing the way of mastering the discipline in the form of a project that has a beginning and an end, schedule, content and events under control. The practical significance of the study is to provide students with a Gantt chart and a network diagram reflecting the work sequence and events under control that have to be completed by students. It is recommended to include a Gantt chart and a network diagram to the set of documents on the organization of training. Keywords:
