Abstract:
Context:
Due to the consequences of globalization and accelerating technological progress, such as high competition in the labour market, life cycle shortening of many professions, rapid obsolescence of knowledge, the list of requirements for a specialist grows and changes. Modern man “must be able to offer himself as “a commodity” in the labour market and compete with others.

Purpose or goal:
Educational experience of an adult learner has a significant impact on the development of foreign language communicative competence within the framework of the additional education system. The educational experience of an adult learner is in contradiction with his learning activities in the additional education, which is caused by the discrepancy between the social and professional status of an adult student’s role, as well as the fact that the outdated pedagogical and didactic approaches to learning a foreign language are fully or partially applied in most educational formal education institutions.

Approach:
The core of the educational experience consists of the knowledge and skills, conscious experiences about gained knowledge and skills, attitudes towards education, formal and informal norms, rules of institution of education. The educational experience of a modern man begins to form rather early, and its content is very rich and varies as a result of wide variety in available and accessible forms of education. In this study, we are most interested in the educational experience gained as a result of formal traditional education.

Actual or Anticipated Outcomes:
The technology is characterized by the following provisions: the prevention of learning situation problems (lowering learners’ motivation level, negative psychological climate, the state of "plateau", etc.); flexibility and variability of the content, methods and training techniques that meet the needs of learners; compliance with the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the development of the adult learners’ foreign language communicative competence.

Conclusions:
Globalization and internationalization, total informatization, strengthening the role of communication and self-presentation, technological change increasing, total computerization and modernization, increasing of population living standards are the factors that actualize the need for the development of foreign language communicative competence of adult population in Russia.
