Abstract:
This article deals with the possibilities given by literature and the visual arts to develop and make linguistic skills more subtle. Different literary genres are involved in the learning process and through artistic achievements learners perceive in a finer way the richness and precision of expression and thought both in English and Bulgarian. Creating pieces of drama, prose, poetry and scripts proves effective as a personalized and beloved method to accumulate vocabulary, as well as to correct grammar and form style. It is especially useful for the presentation of the less known culture and uniqueness of countries like Bulgaria.
The use of modern technology is considered as a tool to activate, enhance and visualize the scope of possible applications human mind and creativity could give to the learning of another language through art. Extensive writing, playing with the language, inventing new meanings while comparing the language systems of Bulgarian and English, brings forth insight, linguistic intuition to make it the producer of our firm, yet agile standing as very good language learners.
