EDUCATIONAL WEB QUESTS IN MATHEMATICS AS AN ELEMENT OF THE DIGITAL EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract:
Introduction:
Digital educational environment is a prerequisite for quality modern education. One of the elements of the university's digital educational environment are educational web quests. Educational web quests use cloud technologies and Internet information resources. Educational web quests allow you to organize effective independent work of students when teaching mathematics.
Methodology:
Analysis of web quests for mathematics studies at the university has been carried out. The thematic educational web quests has information content that is determined by the content of the educational topic, the goals and objectives of its study. The web quests ensures that students perform search and educational tasks to search and select information using Internet resources. The main goal of the educational web quest is to systematize and summarize the studied material, enrich and present the educational material in the form of a holistic system. Modern web technologies are quite flexible and variable, so working with them allows you to take into account the specifics of the composition of the group, the presence of various groups of students in it. Educational web quests in mathematics allow you to implement a differentiated and individual approach to students. Educational web quests allow you to use group and individual forms of training. Various Internet platforms and sites for the development of author's educational web quests have been analyzed. Criteria for the development of educational web quests are highlighted.
Results:
The authors developed an Internet platform for creating educational courses in the genre of quest (http://edquest.ru). The platform allows teachers to independently add educational material and develop author's web quests and use them in training. Students can start work and complete tasks at any time and place. Educational web quests were developed in various sections of mathematics (elementary mathematics, statistics, history of mathematics and others). Each lesson can be built on the basis of a synthesis of a traditional workshop, modern task approaches, as well as organizing students' independent activities using a web quests. To do this, four main parts can be highlighted in the structure of classes: the theoretical basis of the topic, key tasks, as well as tasks of the thematic educational web quests. The tasks of the web quest involve the independent search for the necessary educational information, the systematization and synthesis of the knowledge received and the presentation of the results in a variety of forms (project, abstract, booklet, poster, etc.). It is supposed to openly protect the results. Discussion and evaluation takes place in an online format and everyone takes an active part.
Conclusions:
Experimental work confirmed that the use of educational web quests allows: to increase the interest of students in the study of mathematics, to increase educational motivation, to increase the level of mathematical training of students. Teachers developing author's web quests fill the digital educational environment with educational content that can be used in the classroom and for the independent activities of students at home.Keywords:
