Abstract:
The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of the implementation of a WebQuest within a subject in the Occupational Therapy degree in terms of technical knowledge acquisition as well as satisfaction and motivation.

For that, we carried out a randomized controlled trial that included 58 students in their third year of Occupational Therapy degree, 33 of them allocated in the WebQuest group and 25 in the control group (traditional on-site learning). The degree of technical knowledge acquisition was assessed through an ad hoc multiple-choice questionnaire, while the motivation and satisfaction was evaluated through validated tools.

Results of this study clearly demonstrate that WebQuest learning leads to a higher acquisition of technical knowledge and to a higher degree of satisfaction and motivation.

Taken together, this study demonstrates that the use of an active, collaborative, tailored and time-limited methodology positively impacts on the learning-teaching process in students of Occupational Therapy
