The problem of teacher's professional development is one of the most important in the modern educational space. The quality of his work depends on the training of the teacher, the level of development of his professional competencies, the level of his erudition and his psychological and pedagogical skills. The result of this work is the education of the younger generation, on which the future of the country depends. Therefore, teacher training is the most important strategic problem, on whose solution the future of the whole nation depends. In this paper, the teacher’s personal sphere, its features, the system of competencies necessary for the teacher to work effectively are considered. The personality of the teacher undergoes all the transformations that are inherent in any individual, and personal development occurs at different rates, in different directions. Professionalism is a personal neoplasm, which needs constant development, if the personality is aimed at successful activity and simultaneous self-development. The development of the modern education system, the pace of information content of the living space require the teacher to constantly improve, both professional and personal, which can be carried out in the system of advanced training. To implement the training of specialists who will further ensure the progressive development of the economy, science and other industries, create conditions and accompany the process of personality formation, which will further ensure the development of society, these are tasks that require the competence of the teacher and define the teaching staff as a strategic resource of the state. The personality of the teacher, or, more precisely, the personal sphere also has its complex structure in accordance with modern theories of personality. As part of the competence block, we will single out the methodological, general cultural and professional components. Competence of the teacher, in our opinion, is the teacher’s possession of the necessary amount of knowledge and skills that determine his readiness for pedagogical activity, pedagogical communication and the formation of the teacher’s personality as a carrier of certain values, ideals and pedagogical consciousness. Using various classifications and specifics of the problem under consideration, we will single out the methodological, general cultural and professional components as part of the competence block of the teacher. One of important parts of this block is ethno cultural competence. Ethnocultural competence is a property of a person, expressed in the presence of a set of objective ideas and knowledge about a particular ethnic culture, realized through skills, skills and behavioral patterns that promote effective inter-ethnic understanding and interaction. The essence of ethnocultural competence is that a person, possessing this competence, acts as an active bearer of experience in the field of ethnocultures and inter-ethnic interaction. Ethnocultural competence is a necessary set of personal qualities of a teacher, including high professionalism, knowledge and skills, allowing free use of cultural facilities and objects in the ethno-cultural environment. The content of this competence of future teachers reflects the philosophical, cultural, pedagogical and other aspects, which focus on the issues of culture and the inner world of a person. Keywords:
