Abstract:
A website for teaching support was developed for three different subjects (Plants of agrointerest, Industrial Use of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, and Agri-Food Logistics) belonging to two centers (School of Agricultural Engineers, ETSIA, and Technical School of Forest Engineers, ETSIM) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). Access to this web site is universal, both by people interested in medicinal and aromatic plants, such as students or teachers, and professionals from different Spanish and Latin American Universities.

For several years we have applied innovative teaching methods similar in the three subjects, and now we have designed and developed a joint website, which is hosting several "charts of useful plants”, which collect information on the origin, distribution, botanical characteristics, nutritional composition and active principles, habitat, industrial uses and applications, production and consumption of each plant species.
