Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to describe, how Management Information Systems (MIS) program curricula can be tailored to prepare students for careers in Blended Learning. Blended Learning is growing rapidly, however, most educational institutions did not respond to emerging need of modifying their curricula or offering new programs. This paper builds on the offered MIS curriculums offered in state of Kuwait and a modified Curriculum is proposed, which incorporates Blended Learning as a career track in MIS. We believe that the new MIS - Curriculum can provide additional employment opportunities.
A qualitative study is conducted to identify needed changes in MIS programs to support enhancement of blended learning skills. Existing MIS programs offered in the state of Kuwait are identified and modification are made based on literature review and expert interviews. To finalize the proposed curriculum, it was tested by two focus groups. Keywords:
