Abstract:
A highly researched topic today is how to deliver the curriculum as effectively as possible in the classroom, where interactivity has a significant role. Animation-simulation software are available for many subjects and can be used to make lessons more colourful and interesting. These tools make it easier and faster for students with a visual learning style to understand. These tools are accomplished for implementation in several teaching approaches, such as experiential learning and deep learning, where students can practice and gain knowledge through trial and error.

In the first section, we provide a general overview of the possibilities offered by interactive and animation-simulation software, pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of their use in the teaching process. We will also present specific existing and proprietary hardware and software packages to facilitate teaching, including the potential of VR (virtual reality) technology. During the research, we have examined the tools available for interactive teaching of subjects in primary, secondary and higher education. In addition, we conducted a survey among students to measure the importance and demand for interactive learning materials.
