Abstract:
The study deals with the application of onomastics in Hungarian language classes and with the name forms of Hungarian educational institutions in Slovakia. The onomastics is an essential element, branch within the great system of linguistics as a part of disciplinary science group united under the terms of lexicology, which examines the principles of the structure of the word and methods of studying it. Mostly lexicology's two subfields are in touch with the field of onomastics, namely azetimology and onomasiology.

The dissertation gives a brief overview of the works published on this topic. The onomastics knowledge is assigned to grammatical topics, furthermore it also containes tasks related to onomastics. In onomastic studies published in recent decades, it has been expressed more and more frequently, onomastics should be included in the educational process. This study presents the possible applicability of onomastics in education, taking into account and describing the relevant parts of all work on similar topics published so far. Whether what is our opportunity to incorporate onomastics into Hungarian language topics? Which topics allow us to introduce onomastic phenomena to students? School grammars usually list the following categories: personal names; animal names; geographical names; names of celestial bodies; institution names; titles; names of awards, brand names.

In the second part of the study, I deal with the name forms of the Hungarian educational institutions in Slovakia. The naming of schools is very diverse. Due to the fact there are a lot of school types and different branches of education operate within a single school, the primary need is to have the most nuanced and detailed indication of their field of activity, which is also presented in their names. Recently, longer and more complex name formations are emerging. The Slovakian practise in many cases follows the Hungarian one, but in many cases it differs from it. However, the name creators besides indicating the scope of activity as precisely as possible, should also take into consideration the practicality and even more importantly the correct spelling.
