Abstract:
The article considers the problem of young specialists’ employment in Russia. The aim of the article is correlation of salary expectations, labor motives with the real situation on the labor market; detection employer's requirements to young specialists’ competences in a branch cut. The empirical base of the work was the all-Russian statistics data, the results of sociological research of student youth of Tyumen (sample size is 1881 people, 2019 year), content analysis of jobs in the labor market in Tyumen Region (observation of 2019 year).

According to the Russian regions rating Tyumen Region consistently enter the top ten best regions of Russia in terms of socio-economic situation. According to the rating Agency "RIA Rating", part of MIA "Russia today» media group, in 2017 Tyumen Region took the 7th position in integral rating of socio-economic situation. For a long time, the situation on the labor market of Tyumen Region was relatively favorable. According the official data, the unemployment rate was lower compared to the national average. Despite the external well-being in General, the situation on the regional labor market is ambiguous. Structural contradictions, supply and demand imbalance, informal employment, disparities in the level of different fields of activity wages form the contradictions and tensions, especially on the youth labor market, which is burdened by typical age problems of finding yourself and your place in life. Therefore, the youth unemployment problem increases. The article shows the difference between salary expectations of the youth and the real level of young specialists’ remuneration, employer's requirements to young specialists’ competences and their willingness to comply in a branch cut. The main problems of youth employment are highlighted. The problem of matching competencies and qualifications to the needs of employers. The problem of high expectations of young people in relation to wages.
