Role Playing is one of the most powerful tools to put students closer to the reality they will find in the business area. We designed a framework where students become CEOs of their own companies and are responsible to take decisions in a complex world, that mixes real information from financial markets, role playing and case studies. In the business simulation framework, each team has the responsibility to manage their enterprise and its wealth through different scenarios, that are presented along the year by the teachers of the subject. In this framework former students of the subject and financial and business professionals help actual students in their fight with business “reality”.

The main objective of this simulation is to work on general skills as team work or decision making, meanwhile putting into work all the knowledge our students have learned along the degree. Results are very positive from our point of view: former students recommend actual students to pass through the experience, and since the incorporation of this approach in our subject, the student satisfaction as increased exponentially.
Role playing, business simulation, financial markets.
