Abstract:
This paper summarizes considerations and preliminary research results on the human capital continuous long-term development processes. The focus is particularly on the effective mechanisms of long-term human resource procurement and development on the Russian industrial enterprises in the strategic industries within the framework of industry 4.0 development. The study is intended to highlight the existing and prospective instruments of integration and cooperation between the industrial enterprises and educational institutions (universities and colleges).

The paper also examines the interconnection between the systems of human capital and knowledge management development, provides examples of specific practices and describes the practically oriented mechanisms of human capital and corporate knowledge management.
In order to gain better understanding of the applied approaches towards human capital management and aspects of cooperation between enterprises and educational institutions the quantitative research is proposed. It provides the insights into the degree of mentoring significance and the methods of graduates’ adaptation period shortening.

The baseline results, described in the paper will probably have positive implications for business decisions in the sphere of stuffing and long-term human capital management. The set of new conception features will provide useful guidelines for building the strategic relations between the industrial enterprises and education institutions on the basis of targeted training.
