Abstract:
The present study aimed to evaluate the validity of an instrument designed for measuring the impact of Lifelong Learning (LLE) on Human Resource Development, named LLEHUREDE scale (Lifelong Learning Impact on Human Resource Development scale), (Giossi, 2013), in relation to Corporate strategy, value system and ethical perceptions, Evaluation policy of the participation in educational programmes, Learner’s orientation towards lifelong learning, Culture of lifelong learning, Awareness of lifelong learning, Attitudes towards educational, vocational and development policies, and the Emotional identity of the learner in relation to lifelong learning via 150 managers and employers participated in the study. A comparison of the results was discussed and the advantages and disadvantages of each method were evaluated. Implications for testing methods and future validation methodologies and issues were also considered. The application of the two distinct methods allowed data analysis and designated different aspects of the results as well. Consequently, their combination offered a thorough and complete analysis and data investigation, contributing thus, to more detailed conclusions to being drawn.
