Abstract:
The tendency of not paying suitable attention to human resources and the problem of no taking into account the emotional identity and the orientation of a learner towards lifelong learning addressed the present research. Research aims were the identification and analysis of the influence of lifelong learning on human resource development through the investigation of the twofold identity of managers on the one hand, and the corporate strategy and the educational, vocational and development policies of the organizations where the managers belong to, on the other hand. For that reason, a structural model was developed, Confirmatory Factor Analysis was chosen to evaluate it and implications for the study were taken place. Data collected from a sample of 150 managers. Research findings revealed that awareness of lifelong learning, educational, vocational and development policies, culture of lifelong learning, corporate strategy and ethical perceptions, evaluation policy of participation in educational programmes, learner’s orientation towards lifelong learning and the emotional identity of the learner were the main components of the model. Furtemore, the establishment of a lifelong learning culture, embodied in the corporate strategy, could lead to a successful strategic human resource management. Keywords:
