Actual subjects in Official Master end with the elaboration and presentation of a research Project that is necessary to obtain the Master Degree. Therefore it is essential that student is oriented in how to carry out such a work not only at the end of the master but also along it.
This article focuses on the experience obtained in the subject “New concepts in Corporate Graphical Communication” of the Official Master in Engineering Design of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
From the beginning, this subject was divided in a theoretical part and in developing a Project as practical part. But from no on, students can choose between this practical Project or a theoretical Research Project about any theoretical concept exposed in class. Although this experience bases on only one semester, some conclusions about student acceptance and participation can be gotten from it as well as about methodology, evaluation system and improvement issues.
