Abstract:
The situation in the education system in the Czech Republic is currently affected by restrictions in connection with lockdown due to a coronavirus pandemic. In this context, teachers are looking for new approaches to distance learning, which also brings a number of emerging issues. One of these problems is the increase in the number of teacher-shaming cases as one form of cyberbullying. Cyberbullying/shaming can be defined as a newly emerging form of harassment that is essentially a product of current technical changes and is defined as a traumatic experience with a number of physical, emotional and also social consequences.Because it is mainly described in the field of primary and secondary schools and the research on the cyberbullying of teachers by pupils is still in its infancy, this paper focuses on the situation at selected czech secondary schools and high schools. This study examined cyberbullying of teachers on popular online social network and instant messaging apps to determine how pupils present for example their teachers, edit their photos taken during lessons, evaluate teachers, etc.
