The aim of the research was to explore the attitudes, opinions and experiences of pupils in the 6th and 9th grades at primary schools in the Czech Republic regarding the provision of educational counselling in schools. The research was conducted using a questionnaire given to a total of 2,585 respondents and the results cover several research areas - pupils' awareness of the existence of educational counselling, their experience with a school counsellor, personality of the educational consultant and his/her cooperation with parents, or the pupil´s opinions on replacing educational consultants with social educators.
