VIRTUAL PLATFORMS AND STUDENTS. DO WE KNOW HOW THEY INTERACT? USING WEB ANALYTIC DATA TO IMPROVE VIRTUAL LEARNING

The implantation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has been a substantial change in the assessment process. Tracking student activity is an essential requirement as every hour the student invest in learning will count in European credits.

The Learning Management Systems (LMS) in the form of virtual teaching platforms storage enough data to be able to draw conclusions related to the design of the activities as well as patterns of the study behaviour of students.

In this paper we analyse different subjects using web analytic data to extract information using variables that provide details about the way in which students interact with several activities set in the Moodle virtual platform, as well as monitoring virtual classrooms degree subjects in an institution of higher education.
