Abstract:
Developing the critical thinking skills of students requires a well-developed curriculum and adequate teaching resources. Project-Based Learning is an educational approach that emphasizes collaborative and project-oriented learning. This paper is framed around the following research question; could you teach critical thinking through Project-Based Learning?. It shed light on PBL and critical thinking by presenting evidence framed around the question of whether critical thinking can be taught through PBL. The results of this study aim to close the gap by defining the relationship between project-based learning and critical thinking. The present research provides a systematic review of the modern experimental scientific contributions on the effect of the project-based learning methodology on students’ critical thinking skills from primary cycle to grade eleven students. The researcher has selected 26 articles out of 167 to be used as a measuring instrument, based on their respondent sample. The results indicate that project-based learning can strengthen students critical thinking skills. findings address the limitations in the literature on how Project-Based Learning can develop critical thinking skills.
