Science ensures the development of civilizations in all of the life aspects. Scientists also took into their consideration the importance of applying research in different areas to end up with innovative inventions. They follow a systematic path through which they facilitate the acquisition of knowledge for anyone who wants to promote the science of innovation that boosts the nation’s continual development of both industry and economy. In this regards, a lot of attention has been paid on designing and assessing entrepreneurial education in selected schools in Oman through Educational Innovation and Assessment Program (EIAP). The ambition of this program is the development of individual talents towards research and innovation that ensures the transfer of knowledge at the national level which will lead to a global competition and gradually enables the variation of economic growth by 2025. Our aim is to equip students with sufficient innovation and research capabilities within the educational sector, which can have pronounced contributions in the industrial and commercial sectors.

This program is designed for achieving data through the implementation of the entrepreneurial education in the pilot schools and hence directing the future of educational policies into research and innovation. The main program objectives are: 1) Provision of enabling environments for students’ innovation initiatives, 2) Provision of operational framework for innovative teachers training programs, 3) Developing students with skills that match the evolving academic, industrial and commercial world’s needs. The concept of entrepreneurial education differentiate normal student and the entrepreneurial student is that normal student graduate with a mindset for seeking to an opportunity to get job from others, while the entrepreneurial student offers the job for others. I this program, student innovation and research processes are carried out through well-equipped enabling environments, which are harmonized to reflect on academic, industrial and commercial needs in the region. The study showed that this program is able to: 1) encourage and increase student’s motivation to rise their achievement and apply knowledge in their real life, and to 2) promote professional development for teachers. We believe this will lead to prepare youth to be thinkers and producers to ensure the sustainable development of the economy of both public and private sectors by preparing citizens to be innovative, creative and producers. This talk will provide you with a quick journey through the Educational Innovation and Assessment Program and the lessons learned from it.
