Abstract:
How does one motivate and lead students in the areas of entrepreneurship and business creation to develop research skills to be used in specific projects for the generation of knowledge? This research paper presents an experiential project developed in a “Semana i” format, which is an educational experience that allows students from different academic programs to immerse themselves in very specialized practices. For five days, students undertake a series of activities that are designed for skills development. In this exercise, three main competencies were established to be developed in the students: entrepreneurship, intellectual curiosity, and passion for self-learning.
The step-by-step methodology employed, concepts taught, and main achievements and lessons learned by the participants are shared in this document. Being able to get students to view entrepreneurship as a rich phenomenon in their objects of study, to learn about different lines of research, and to change their perspective on the search for new knowledge was a very exciting experience that we want to share.
