Abstract:
The traditional role of the university professor must adapt to the new demands of society to serve a very dynamic and varied student. For this reason, universities must not only innovate in their pedagogical models, but also in their attention to the student. This requires tutorial accompaniment programs that respond to the needs of students at different stages of their university life.

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has an institutional trajectory of more than two decades of implementation of a tutoring plan in the first year of the degrees, which has proved very important in the process of adaptation of new students. One of the main conclusions is that the needs of students evolve throughout the different stages of their university experience. For example, students in the first years need more specific attention in study techniques and guidance in the academic itinerary, while those in the last years require support in approaching the work reality or for the continuation of their studies. For this reason, they require a comprehensive accompaniment, not only at degree level, but also in master's and doctorate.

As a result, during the 2021-22 academic year, the Comprehensive Student Accompaniment Plan, PIAE+, has been implemented at the UPV, in collaboration with the entire university community. The PIAE+ acts in all undergraduate, master's and doctoral courses, to listen to students and offer them personalized support and accompaniment throughout all the stages of their university life.

The PIAE+ throughout the current academic year 2022-23, has not only strengthened the objectives set the previous academic year, but has also grown considerably. Currently there are teams of professors and student tutors in all the courses of all the grades acting to accompany the student throughout their stage at the UPV. The main objectives are promote their personal development and comprehensive training boost your academic performance reinforce their training in values stimulate entrepreneurship and contribute to shaping a professional itinerary. This project, the involvement of all university sectors in it and the actions that have been carried out under its framework have managed to position the UPV as a pioneering university in the implementation of a comprehensive accompaniment program at all levels.
