Abstract:

You find an attractive, interactive and very fertile environment in Internet, but also a propitious environment to dispersion where pupils can lose in a lot of data without relevance. How do the pupils be able to do a good use of the time? How do we organize and guiding the work of the pupils in the Internet?

Internet navigation in the educational environment must be a process of search of valuable and representative reports. Interesting, updated and useful websites must be selected. Teachers don't need to use hard software tools. PHP Webquest allows the elaboration and hosting of webpages in Internet server, and teachers will be able to focus his efforts in the pedagogic contents and no in the process of web production.

In this paper we focus on a course for teachers organized by the Centro del Profesorado de la Axarquía, that belongs to the Consejería de Educación de la Junta de Andalucía (Spain). The course title is: "PHP Webquest: una metodología para incorporar internet al aula" ("PHP Webquest: a metodology to introduce internet in classroom")

On the one hand, the teachers will discover a great variety of webquest, miniquest and available "treasure huntings" in Internet. And on the other hand they will design a project with PHP Webquest. The attention focuses on the didactic possibilities of this software, that is, in its utilization like a powerful tool at the service of the growth of the basic competencies, abilities and attitudes that assist the students to understand better the society and to access to the world maturely and responsibility.

The virtual classroom is the workplace where professors will find help, tracking and the course's complementary materials in. It is used also as a communication place with the instructor, to upload their tasks and to establish relation with other teachers.
