Abstract:
We present a software tool consisting of an e-learning platform (Moodle) with access to a manipulator of symbolic computation (webMathematica). The purpose of this application is to allow the student of scientific and technical careers an immediate resolution of problems posed by the students themselves in the same style that is used in an actual class (completing this way the classroom training). We applied the system to the resolution of problems of Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Differential Calculus as an example of subjects common to most scientific or technical careers.
The advantage of this work is that students can pose exercises and see the step by step solutions instead of having to study with static examples provided by the teacher.
The resolution of a given problem is performed using a symbolic manipulator without requiring previous knowledge of handling by the student. The resolution of the problem is constructed in detailed way using a web page (JSP) that is displayed browser used by the student.Keywords:
