Abstract:
Moodle is a widely-used open source learning management system (LMS) that can be used to deliver course content and host online learning activities. This communication presents an evaluation of the different strategies and actions that have been carried out to stimulate the student autonomous learning and to improve the education, learning, and evaluation processes in the subject “Spectrometric identification of organic compounds” using the platform of e-learning Moodle. “Spectrometric identification of organic compounds” is a mandatory subject that belongs to the last year of the Chemistry degree of the Science Faculty of the University of Alicante (Spain). With the aim of facilitating the implantation and beginning of this subject in the new European Space of Higher Education system we have used this tool which offers an interesting set of learning and continuous assessment resources.
