Abstract:
The paper will present a case study of using MyMathLab as online interactive and educational system in teaching an intermediate Algebra Mathematics course over two consecutive semesters for non- Science students at Qatar University.

54 students from different majors and disciplines (Business, Education, Law, Art, etc) were enrolled in the course during the academic year 2015/ 2016. The results of 54 students were extracted from the online system and will be analyzed and classified using data mining techniques in order to knowledge discovery and, extract hidden and useful information. The main objective is to identify to what extend the MyMathLab as interactive online system helps in improving students’ performance, and enhanced their learning skills.

Different Data Mining (DM) techniques will be applied to classify and cluster students based on their scores achieved through using the interactive system in solving online homework that covered all course materials.

The hidden knowledge and useful information will be extracted for future studies.
