Abstract:
The information and knowledge society requires citizens with digital skills to reduce the gaps caused by technological progress. The objective of this research is to identify the actions that the Mexican government has implemented to contribute to the digital literacy of the original or pre-Hispanic peoples. Based on the empirical knowledge acquired through participatory action research with the communities of native peoples, there is an objective reality of the context. Likewise, a qualitative documentary analysis was carried out on the efforts of the Mexican government towards bridging the digital divide, which allowed identifying actions to put into practice by the Mexican State that favor inclusion and social cohesion. As part of the results, key factors have been identified in digital education and in the strategic management of access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT's), such as the need for continuous and permanent training of the bilingual teacher of the ethnolinguistic communities and implementation mechanisms for evaluation and monitoring of State projects that promote digital inclusion and social cohesion.
