Abstract:
In the world of Traditional Islamic Education, innovation is always a hot topic to discuss. The emergence of educational innovations is motivated by a challenge to answer complex problems in traditional Islamic education, such as governance issues, student quality, religious quality, school fees for traditional Islamic education (pesantren), facilities and infrastructure, Panca Darma (Five Services) of pesantren (Boarding School), the united States of the Republic of Indonesia, also Pancasila (Five Principles) as ideology. This study aims to discuss the implementation of traditional Islamic education in the District of Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia. The design of the study employs qualitative research with multiple-cases design. The results of the study first is to prove the existence of integrated governance at the Buntet Cirebon Indonesia Islamic boarding school. Second, it proposes a concept from the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Religion, with a yellow book reference as a characteristic of Islamic boarding schools. Third, types of assimilation of governance education are synthesized into an attractive pattern of education management by utilizing competitive learning media in accordance with times. Innovation in traditional Islamic education governance is expected to answer contemporary needs for a better traditional boarding school and improve the quality and existence of Islamic education in the Buntet Cirebon Indonesia Islamic boarding school.
