Abstract:
While web-based instruction is nothing new in learning a second or a foreign language classroom. Technology utilizing in languages is an urgent needs and a fast change from traditional methods to modern trends. This paper will take a look into using technology in education to enhance medical students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The author will share his experience with using web-based tools and collaborative activities to practice a foreign language skills and communicate effectively with others and having better outcomes. Medical students can be well-motivated through social media in real life situation and interacting with their peers and their teachers using medical terminologies. This study was conducted at Jazan University in 2015. The research adopted a descriptive and analytical methods to explore to influence of social media on the medical students' achievements using medical terms. A survey of 20 items was distributed to 40 students. It analyzed by SPSS and the application of web-based instruction in a foreign language classes shows a great influence of technology in education and good benefits.
