Abstract:
The University has in its hands the training of future professionals, and therefore, one of its tasks will be to make known the characteristics and functioning of the future profession, the job search techniques and the tools to be put into practice, as well as the training resources that can increase the possibilities of incorporation into the labour market. In this sense, all those doubts that hinder and prevent students from advancing in their professional future should be answered by professionals in the field and protected or supervised by the teaching centre.
Teachers, administrative staff and students are going to develop an Innovative Project and Good Teaching practices (IPGT), granted by the Quality, Innovation and Planning Unit of the FIDO plan (2022-24) of the University of Granada. The IPGT organises informative conferences, seminars and workshops which provide a professional orientation to university students. The external speakers will be from all professional fields and also graduates who have reached their career goal. Moreover, there will be technical staff for guidance and labour insertion from the Centre for the Promotion of Employment and Work Placements of the UGR. All this will contribute to respond to the need shown by the students to improve professional orientation and preparation for the world of work.
The dissemination of the programmed activities has been carried out through different communication channels. Most of the activities organised by the IPGT are carried out in groups of students, encouraging collaboration, the exchange of ideas, the achievement of objectives, motivation, creativity, and favouring the social skills of each one in order to add up and get closer to their professional future. Attendance is registered through Google Forms and an anonymous satisfaction survey is conducted for each activity.
The activities offered by this project have contributed to improving the student's transversal competences. Experiences of professionals from the different sectors of the Faculty of Pharmacy's degrees (Pharmacy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science and Technology) are presented. It describes the qualities that the applicant must possess, the job vacancies and the current employment situation of each of the profiles. Therefore, this project carries out a professional orientation task that is highly demanded by university students. Keywords:
Higher education, tutorial innovation, professional orientation.
