Abstract:
The importance of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education is recognized in the whole world, being emphasized by the European Commission as an important need in Europe. [1] Starting from this need the authors’ team decided to analyze curricular and extracurricular means that enable the students of the University Politehnica of Bucharest to improve their entrepreneurial competencies, thus increasing the chances that students and graduates will start their own business as well as the potential of a higher success rate of such start-ups.

In order to achieve this aim, the potential of increasing entrepreneurial competencies is analyzed over three competence dimensions: knowledge, skill and motivation. The potential to develop entrepreneurial competencies is analyzed from the point of view of students from three faculties of the University Politehnica of Bucharest, as well as from the point of view of the professors’ team regarding the real possibilities to enhance entrepreneurship within master and bachelor curricula and beyond it.
