Abstract:
It’s not rocket science! Nonetheless, it is a complicated decision to make. Great nations are continuously battling with making the “right” decision with regards to education. Not just from an academic perspective, but also from a vocational and professional standpoint. A constructive comparative analysis between the small fish, Switzerland and the big pond, the United States of America (U.S.A.) will give a greater insight as to how a modified Dual-Education system from Switzerland, will provide a blueprint for the U.S.A. From a position of apprenticeships this paper will highlight and validate what is working and what is bound for failure. My target audience is any entity that seeks a viable solution to combat youth unemployment. The preparation path is a key factor in this area. Is it better to be College-Bound or Employment-Enabled? While one should fuel the other, it is a blending of sorts that will thrust young individuals into a promising future. A future that currently appears to be bleak, but will become brighter. “From Switzerland with Love…” Let the Duel begin.
