ON THE CONVENIENCE OF SOME TOOLS EMPLOYED IN THE E-LEARNING METHODOLOGY

At the beginning of this millennium several programs as BSCW, WebCT, Moodle, aLF, etc, appeared and they grew to become comprehensive platforms to develop any kind of teaching and learning in a whole way, only possible once internet had appeared.

Today they are not only the mainstay of distance education, but they have become a must, in teaching and learning tasks at the classroom, in faculties of any public or private, local or international, universitary institution.

In this work, we want to share our professional experience both as professors and as contents developers for these platforms along more than 10 years dealing with subjects related to mathematics and programming, in public university education.

This work is mainly a survey on the use and effectiveness of the classical resources within these platforms.
