Abstract:
Two different study programs exist in our university: one is based on apprenticeship learning and the other one is based on classical academic learning. This paper presents our reflection on how to adapt the latter in order to reach the same results as with the apprenticeship study program in terms of openings on the job market but also in terms of mastery of knowledge. Results from our field experience reveal that a close parallel between the two programs may be achieved by a preliminary process of adaptation concerning the contents and course schedule. In order to conduct this adaptation process, we decided to build the study program on the notion of territory and to distinguish the basis of an IS (building) from its understanding. This orientation allows us to develop an adequate heuristic approach in the on-going process of linkage between the two study programs.
