Abstract:
Science education in Saudi Arabia has witnessed a substantial call to action to correspond to the aims and premises of the 21st century. Science curricula across all K-12 stages have been reformed, and an official document outlining professional standards for the training of science teachers has been issued. Scientific literacy has become a core part of science education standards, reflecting strong ties between science and society. Students need to demonstrate scientific processes and habits of mind in order to offer legitimate solutions and to make decisions based on ethical and moral norms.

This paper will consist of an empirical discussion about a moral and ethical awareness that is suitable to science and endorsed by Islam. The connection between the scientific mind and the influence of Islam will be discussed. The primary focus will be the imposition of science curricula in Saudi Arabia and science teacher preparation programs and how they correspond to social and technological paradigms while incorporating ethical and moral qualities.
