Abstract:
Introduction:
The Anatomy subject is one of the fundamental pillars in physical therapy studies. In “Servicio de soporte y asesoramiento a la actividad docente” (SSAAD) of the Universitat de Lleida, we implemented a new pedagogic tool that simulated the TRIVIAL game allowing to ask diverse kinds of questions. This tool was designed by the SSAAD itself and implemented in the university's virtual campus for the exclusive use of the campus users. Special emphasis was placed on the same format of the exam questions, which was a multiple choice test with 5 options.

Objectives:
The objectives of the study was:
1. Increase the motivation for learning
2. Increase the time studying the lesson
3. Improve the learning
4. Compare the students’ preferences regarding the use of innovative teaching methods

Methods:
At the end of each lesson, the students had the possibility to do the Trivial game with the same format of the theoric exam being a funny, enjoyable and competitive form of learning, since each student was able to see the ranking. The students were able to repeat the game being out of the classroom even though the first time they did it in class like a summary.

Once the lesson is finished (evaluation included), a Liekert’s questionnaire was made using Google Forms. The groups were stratified in sex, university’s access and the degree the students did.

The surveyed students did a semester with traditional methods and the Trivial tool was incorporated in the second semester. The sample was 43 individuals (n=43), 27 women and 16 men. Most of the students came from bachelor’s degrees (37 individuals).

In addition to the Liekert type questionnaire, academic results were compared with previous school years.

Results:
- 93% of the students expressed that the Trivial game had helped them to improve their knowledge of the lesson in comparison with traditional methods: atlas, books, notes…
- 72.1% of the students expressed that the Trivial game had helped them to improve their motivation and participation in the subject
- 62.8% of the students expressed that they had dedicated more time to study the lesson thanks to the use of the game.
- Only 32.6% of the surveyed had used the game being out of their scholar ambit like restaurants, bars, parks…
- 100% of the surveyed expressed that the Trivial game had been an useful tool for anatomy’s learning.
- Regarding the academic results, the progress was very significant, improving the global average score of the subject by 12%, specially in the middle segment. 100% of the students passed (78% passed in previous years), although this fact could be affected by the COVID19 pandemic that appeared in march 2020 being able to distort the obtained results which we will ignore at this period.

Conclusions:
The Trivial game was shown as an useful tool for improving the adherence, motivation and participation in the anatomy’s subject of the Physical therapy degree at the Universitat de Lleida.
In the future, this study should be extended by comparing it with other innovative pedagogical methods.
