Abstract:
The process of teaching and learning have been upgraded by the use of the new technologies and its incorporation to the lecture room. The use of the computers and the access to the information's nets are powerful tools for the teacher and students that provides many metodologic possibilities. The Thermal Engineering Area of University of Jaén, that teachs in industrial engineering related studies, has designed a virtual test procedure. Using this test, in a personal computer, the performance of an engine testing bench can be simulated. It has not been intended to substitute the real operating of this type of devices but the student will be familiar with them previously in order to get a better use of the test at the laboratory. The virtual test is allocated in a virtual teaching platform, is accessible via internet and includes three-dimensional animations, graphs and explanatory texts. Keywords:
