Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to analyze the possibilities to integrate new learning practices into health postgraduate training programs. This new practices should enable students to acquire specific skills to their field of study while improving other generic skills related to the ability to search for a quality scientific information, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), the collaborative work or the transmission and dissemination of scientific knowledge. The wikiDM experience was carried out with this objective, as a collaborative activity around different aspects of the Mediterranean Diet (MD) using Wikispaces. The experience involves teachers and students of different subjects in the programs of Nutrition and Food Systems at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). After the experience the results were analyzed using anonymous survey and participant observation. The results showed that wikiDM is an effective tool to address the phenomenon of food from different perspectives, as well as a useful system to work generic skills such as the use of ICT, the literature search and the collaborative work.Keywords:
