Abstract:

In our paper we propose an approach to the development of the intelligent distance learning environment (IDLE) which is based on the individualised learning and forming competencies of educator by the combined experience of employers and relevant best practices.

The mathematical base of the intelligent distance learning environment is supplied by the developed domain model of student, the plan of training, the experience and practices, the tools in diagnosing competencies and the methods of planning and management learning paths. The software of the intelligent distance learning environment is based on the learning management system Moodle, Joomla and Openmeetings.

The IDLE of the Institute of Distance and Further Education is implemented in Ulyanovsk State Technical University and in a number of industrial plants as a base of e-learning and distance education, further training of students and specialists of economic and technical specialities.
