Abstract:
In accordance with the current trends of inclusive education and equal opportunities for people with disabilities, number of pupils with autistic spectrum disorders in secondary schools is increasing and will be seeking better qualifications for their employement.
The presented paper reflects the current situation of the process of vocational and professional training for students with autistic spectrum disorders in the Moravian-Silesian Region.

Within the mentioned area of professional training we monitored the possibilities of secondary education for students with autistic spectrum disorders, educational process and work with these students and using of certain techniques and methods. An important aspect of our research was also the effectivity evaluation of the professional training process of students with autistic spectrum disorders from the teachers and parents point of view.

As the main research method in the quantitative type of research we used questioning in originally created questionnaire. An additional part of research was qualitative case study.

The research project focused on two basic areas. The first research line A (N = 144) analyzed the possibilities of vocational training in education of students with autism spectrum disorders in secondary schools, focusing on educational support. The obtained data were subjected to the detail analysis which reveals the specifics of educational process of students with autism spectrum disorders in high schools. The univariate and bivariate analysis of empirical data was used in the statistical data processing.The second research line B (N = 10) describes the qualitative processes of education of the monitored students in secondary education.

The paper presents interesting results of analyzes explaining the support of students with autistic spectrum disorders in the secondary education in the Czech school system.
