Abstract:
This research focus on the assessment of student learning, knowing that it is suffering deep transformation at the same time reforms are taking place in learning goals and in organization process of the Higher Education. In this context, the process of education and training involves a significant volume of legislation, both at national and international level, which is expected to produce its results. But, rather than legislate, without producing effects on society, because only improves the image of the government in the short term, students, parents, professors, schools and business are calling for changes in medium and long term to develop a sustained way in which Higher Education must operate. So, this research examines assessment results through a case study of the corporate finance course of the Accounting Degree at Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão of the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda (ESTG-IPG). The main question is understood how students learn and the main solution is create standards and rules, based on statistics and reports about the student learning process in way to provide equitable and adequate opportunities.
