Abstract:

The paper describes an educational project Webrangers, which is realized in cooperation of Google Inc. , Palacký University in Olomouc and NGO Google Education Group. "Webrangers project" focuses on topics connected with risky behaviour of children and adults on the Internet - especially on cyberbullying, sexting and communication with strangers on the Internet (cyber grooming). Every year, more than 100 Czech children are trained in issues related to the safe use of Internet services (blended learning with using of Google services - Hangouts, Google Apps, Google Plus etc.). Children are also encouraged to produce their own projects (videos, comics, presentations etc.), which are popularized through a social network Google Plus and the project website. They also realize school presentations for their schoolmates and teachers, special workshops for children from kindergartens and another activities for popularization of topics.
Webrangers is a very good example of cooperation of academic and corporate sector.
