MODEL FOR ENRICHING EDUCATION CULTURE IN THE EDUCATION SYSTEM OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN

Abstract:
Education is a moral effort and is considered as a value institute. The society expects learning to improve, schools teach values to children, teenagers and young adults and emphasize on love to learn, cooperation in daily communication, skills in gaining knowledge and insight and life skills and creative thought (UNESCO 1991). Finding ways to enrich education culture in schools and classrooms and improving the realization of education goals is an important investment, which should be undertaken seriously. (Hourizad, 2005).
By education culture enrichment, it means to introduce teaching-learning activities, explorative and creative learning, group and project activities and team works in teaching-learning process. Emphasize on developing personality in whole, learning cultural, ideological and social values and maintaining freshness and activity attitude, learning and growing communicative skills and living in groups, creativity and promoting mental capacities, self thought and self-assessment have been the center of attention in enriching education culture.
Research hypothesis:
1.There is a positive and significant correlation between the teachers’ scores in creativity and students’ scores in creativity.
2.Participative learning methods increase self-confidence in students.
3.Participative learning methods improves cooperative attitude among students.
4.Philosophy, goals and contents of educational workshops and using participative researches in school staff improves their abilities and skills in employing new approaches to enrich education culture.
In the semi-empirical studies, the model of enriching education culture was tested on 78 teachers and 1900 students in elementary school system. Involving teachers and students in explorative and tem activities and performing project in real life, valuing the creativity and collaboration of students and providing a rich and supporting environment were among the plans followed by enriching education culture.
The staff received 120 hours of education and during the year, they studied texts researches and arranged to enrich education culture. By using the creativity, self confidence and group measurement tests, interviews with officials and principals of schools and the scores of students, the empirical group showed significant increase compared to control group.
There is a positive and significant linear correlation between the creativity scores of teachers and the creativity scores of students in their class.
As the data shows, the hypothesis concerning existence of a positive and significant linear correlation between the creativity scores of teachers and the creativity scores of students in their class is confirmed.
The participative learning methods increase self confidence of students:
The participative learning method caused increase in the cooperation and collaboration attitude of students.
The philosophy, goals, educational workshops of school staff and employing participative research of school staff improved the skills growth and teachers ability in employing new approaches for enriching education culture.
