Abstract:
The poster will share our learning from a project to integrate the use of iPads into learning and teaching across the taught masters provision of a leading UK Business School. The project initiated back In 2011/2 with a small pilot where a range of devices was tested by a small sample of our students testing out six different tablet devices inside and outside of the classroom. By September 2014 we were providing an iPAD to each of the 1,000+ students joining our taught masters programmes, fully supported by a bespoke website for the faculty and student champions embedded in the cohort. In September 2017 this increased to 1700 devices alongside FT access, plus a core eBook with the idea of a more packaged resource.

In our poster we highlight the challenges of delivering a major project logistically, staff development initiatives; examples of resources produced alongside the use of our student iPad Representatives. Importantly we will reflect on where we are going next and our considerations for the future.

Using Puentedura’s SAMR substitution, augmentation, modification and redefinition (SAMR) model of integration of learning technologies we evaluate our own progress along this continuum and give examples of how we have met these different stages and consider where we are going to next.
