Abstract:
Today's society is characterized by a rapid development of new technologies in all fields. University students have grown up in an environment immersed in technological development, while the university has not kept pace. The demand for the use of ICT in education requires a reflection to the incorporation of these tools for teaching.

To make education more effective is a need for better planning of learning process. It is essential to have a review of the programs of the subjects, based on a complete training, including new technologies and adapting the old programs and evaluation systems as changing social needs.

To carry out this line of action efficiently, must be incorporated into a plan of educational innovation that addresses all points and complement the content between subjects. The plan of educational innovation must be developed by an interdisciplinary group of teachers, representatives of different training areas.

After development of the adequate incorporation of ICT, and given that learning can be done through different routes, it is necessary the figure of an academic tutor to recommend the best option depending on the skills of each student. The figure of the tutor does not correspond to the traditional concept of resolution of questions arising in the context of a subject, but is more focused on global concepts of the academic training, such as itineraries, methods of study, academic orientation and labor…
