Abstract:
The paper focuses on the use of modern information and communication technology in the development of communicative skills. The development of communicative competences is an important part of education. Many European countries list communicative competence as one of the key competences that are developed in students. Information and communication technology has a legitimate position in education and it can be assumed that it is also used during the development of communicative skills. The aim of this paper is to present an overview of available publications that will reflect the current state of the issue. The first part of the paper introduces the reader to the issue, then describes the motivation of the authors to address the above problem and summarises the theoretical background on which the research is based. The second part of the paper describes the research carried out on the topic. The research part describes in detail the process of the search of scientific publications, the results found and a more detailed analysis of the selected sources. The authors focused mainly on the countries of Central Europe and marginally on the countries of Europe as a whole. Only the most recent publications will be taken into consideration, i.e. publications that were published no later than 2019. In the conclusion of the paper, the authors describe the current state of the issue, which is determined on the basis of the conducted search. The findings of this paper will be used for further research, in which the authors focus on the development of communicative competences with the support of mobile technologies.
